Data Source Setting

Creating a Data Source Setting is typically done in association with creating views. Out-of-box, Designers only pull data from the individual applications. You can configure your own Data Source Setting, which uses SQL Query, to pull data from multiple applications. 

To create a new Data Source Setting:

Open the Application Builder.

Click on the New Component menu and select Data Source Setting. A new Data Source Setting document will be displayed

Fill in the Display Name and Table or View Name fields.

The Parent Application(s) field will show the current application.

Fill in the Selection Statement (SQL) field. 

Go to the Advanced tab and fill in the Display Values Query (SQL) field, if needed.

Click Apply & Close.

All Data Source Settings are accessible from the Datasources section of the Reliance Designer tab to edit or apply any changes.
